A WORD ABOUT
SCANNING - If you are scanning a print to send in digital format, please
scan at 300 dpi at 100% (original size) in RGB
color mode. Please use color mode even if the print you are scanning is
black and white. Please turn off any special
features your scanner might have such as sharpening, color correction, etc.
and save as a JPEG file at the least compression possible.
PAYMENT INFORMATION:
PLEASE DO NOT SEND PAYMENT WITH
YOUR INITIAL SUBMISSION. Once we have evaluated your photo(s) we
will promptly provide a quote with an estimated completion time. Once
you accept the quote simply pay-in-full and work will begin.
If in the United States
you can pay by
Visa, Mastercard, Money Order or check. (Please note that checks must clear
before work begins). If outside the United States
we can accept payment by Visa, Mastercard or International Money Order made
payable in U.S. Dollars. If you choose to pay by Visa or MasterCard we
can send an email with a link to a secure website where you can view the
invoice and make payment.
This is the easiest, fastest and most secure method of payment.
There will be a $25 service fee for all returned checks.
REFUND POLICY:
If you are not completely satisfied give us a
call to discuss possible solutions or simply return the product(s) within 14
days of the date we ship it to you. We will send you a full refund, minus
shipping costs, or credit
your account if you paid by credit card.
REFUNDS ARE NOT AN OPTION ONCE YOU HAVE THE FINAL DIGITAL FILE OF THE COMPLETED WORK.
For this reason, if you order a compact disk we
will promptly ship it separately from your order after the refund period expires,
or sooner if you have seen a proof and request the CD waiving your right to a
refund. Low resolution proofs that we might send by email are not
included in this policy and will not affect the ability to receive a refund.
Since real estate
photos are always provided in digital form there are no refunds once you
receive the final product. I will email watermarked proofs for your
approval before providing the final images.

HINTS:
-
If you are scanning
a print to send in digital format, please scan at 300 dpi at 100%
(original size). Scan in RGB color mode even if the print you are
scanning is black and white. Please turn off any special features your scanner
might have such as sharpening, color correction, etc. and save as a JPEG
file.
-
When sending more
than one photo
please number each photo by either writing very
lightly with pencil only on the back, or by placing each photo into a numbered envelope.
This will ensure we are performing the desired work on the correct photos.
If you are sending a digital file please enter the file name.
-
When mailing photos please be
sure to use a good quality photo mailer with stiff cardboard. Some photo
mailers are rather flimsy--don't use them. Digital media such as
Compact Disks, ZIP Disks (up to 250 Megabyte), Floppy Disks or Media Cards
should be mailed in envelopes that are designed for digital media.
-
When requesting removal of a person or object please
give an accurate description (third person from left, mail box in
foreground, etc.). Better yet, send a very light Xerox copy with the
person or object to be removed crossed out or circled.
-
If requesting addition of a person or object try to select a photo of the
person or object that has similar lighting if possible. Watch for the
position of shadows. This could save you some expense if we don’t have
to make major lighting adjustments to the person or object to be added. If
you don’t have a photo with similar lighting, send what you have.
-
When requesting addition of text please ensure correct spelling
and accuracy of dates.
-
When requesting colorization please describe the basic
colors you want for each object to be colorized. Don’t bother
describing colors of obvious items such as bananas or stop signs.
Please keep in mind that every color has many shades and variations that are
impossible to describe or interpret accurately. Here we need some
artistic license. If you don’t have specific colors in mind, please
say so. We will use good
judgment in deciding appropriate colors for you.
-
When requesting a photo montage please let us know which
of the photos is to be the central or dominant figure. If there is no
central figure please say so and we will arrange the images nicely for you.
-
When requesting a vignette it is best to fade to white,
black or a color that already exists in the photo.
However, the color choice is yours.
-
Please call to discuss before sending 3D objects for scanning,
