because you see cracks or tears in your photo, that doesn't necessarily mean
that major or extreme measures will be required to restore it. Much

This World War II photo of my father (Gene Head) and local tribesmen in
Africa was badly faded and severely cracked. Since the cracks didn’t
extend into critical areas such as the faces or hands this photo would fall into the
Moderate category. |

At first glance you might think this
one would be a major or extreme restoration. Although the cracking
was severe it was confined mostly to the dark area behind the children
where there isn't much detail. This kept it in the moderate
category. What appears to be a crack in the lower part of the restored photo is
actually a chain wrapped around the bottom of the chair. |
